Is aching
My heart
Is breaking
I’m missing you
Every tear that falls
Is for you
Why are you
So far away?
Why can’t I see you?
Why can’t I hold you?
I hate this distance
Can we go back?
To when I called you wifey
To when we laughed?
I miss you those times
The smiles
The laughs
When you would call me
Your wifey
I have the letters
Remember the ones
Where you would constantly
Say “I love you.”
How you would sign off
“Love your wife.”
I do
I miss it
I read the letters
Just to remember
How you and I
Used to be
