The Words will Come

The words will come, that’s how it goes
every time, but what matters some
is what you do when nothing happens to your prose.
The words will come
But I won’t allow myself to succumb
the whole point of my life is to compose
if not what will I ever become?
No matter how deep I am within the lows
of writer’s block, which feels oh so numb
I can’t let inspiration decompose.
The words will come.
