Within the human heart,
There are emotions of hate and love.
Within the human heart,

Lay strengths that are unheard of.
Fire and Ice, know not of Love and Hate.
There are emotions of hate and love,

That are not under the strings of fate.
Though Hell and Heaven know of Death and Life,
Fire and Ice, know not of Love and Hate.

The Love of a heart, is just as dangerous as a knife.
The past knows not of it's futures sin,
Though Heaven and Hell know of Life and Death.

The future longs for what has been,
Opposites long for what can never be.
The past knows not of its futures sin.

Searching, searching, trying to see,
Within the human heart.
Opposites long for what can never be,
Within the human heart.

I apologize to those who found this poem confusing, even I still do! One day I was browsing a web site that listed different types of poems and this one caught my eye. It's called a Terzanelle.
