Victim
There’s this crushing, empty part of me
that can take my heart, and desperately,
tear it into hopeless shreds of black.
But then my body cannot agree
with my reckless heart that fakes to be
full of trust it regrettably lacks.
Tremulous nights I hardly do see
Haunt me when those get closer in dreams
Until I painfully start to crack.
Alas, nothing bewares me of thee,
With your cold stare that makes me bleed.
Now I’m a victim of your attack.
