"4th of July"
These men are fighting for your freedom
I'm just fighting my way back to your heart
Back to wherever you are
May my blood so red turn you an innocent white
May you and our sons keep breathing while I turn blue
There was a time where I couldn't differentiate the fireworks from the ringing in my ears
And now the bomb blasts make me uncomfortably at home
As if it was the 4th of July all over again with fireworks
Oh so innocently exploding anything in it's path to kingdom come
I've got violence to glorify
Baby, I want to hold your hand grenade
Just to give you a safer world
That not my hands, but the blood on my hands had made
If you happen to put on the BBC
And see me with a bag over my head
Just know I tried my best to reach you
While keeping all those I've killed from haunting even a hair from my head
Oh, I love you with all of the propaganda from my heart
With good intentions
I'm just a soldier without a name and good intentions were all I had to give
And to think, I have the freedom to say so selfishly
That I'm just trying to save my Americana, your Americana, and me
