Your Truck and My Love
Once upon a time wasn't so long ago.
My heart leaped and soared,
Way above the stars that lit our way home
You were once my reason
My one and only
Not long ago, I wasn't so lonely
Your cologne made me faint
And that truck was a place for us to be alone.
Now the spark is gone
My heart stays still
The stars are dim
Our ride home is quiet
I am numb to your cologne
And your truck is gone.
I just wish we weren't gone too.
The feelings I had for you
Disappeared one day
You passed me in the hallway
When I spoke hello,
You didn't even catch my eye
The powerful hold you had on me flew away
We are nothing but friends
And I feel nothing
When I remember your leaving soon
Maybe next summer
The spark will appear
My heart will soar
The stars will glow
We'll talk the entire way home
Your cologne will make me tingle
And your new car will be an escape
To the paradise of us.

All the world\'s a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts.
