That Girl
I can’t believe my eyes.
I can’t believe my ears.
Everything that’s going on
reduces me to tears.
She looked so stunning.
Her beauty shone right through.
Why can’t you see what I see?
Look at her like I do?
She sees eyes skimming over.
Not giving a second glance.
But if your eyes lingered longer.
You’d give her a second chance.
Sure she has standards,
and they are pretty high.
She won’t be blown over
by just an ordinary guy.
I pray your eyes will open.
That you will see her as I do.
It will make you stop and wonder,
what the heck was wrong with you?
Yeah there are girls more willing,
but is that really what you want?
Is she just to high on the tree
at a hight that seems to daunt?
One day when you mature.
You will see what you lost.
But she won’t trust you then.
You lost her, at what cost?
You didn’t see the inside.
Until it was too late.
And you can’t have her now.
Because you didn’t wait.
Now you have lost her.
The perfect girl for you.
What does it take to make you stop,
and look before you chose?
