A Winter’s Silence
Staring through a stranger’s window
Because I recognize nothing.
I’ve been waiting for this moment
All my life…
But it’s not quite right.
Watching from behind broken glass,
Waiting for my sun to rise,
Counting my winter’s before dawn...
The wind, crawls along my skin
So I sit and think of
Distant pasts and future memories.
I’m waiting to die,
In order to see you one last time.
The sun never rises
Whenever I wait for you.
So as I stare through a stranger’s window,
Watching you from down below.
I sit and listen to
The winter’s silence.
