Back To Black
I’ve lost and found
Turned around.
Laughed, lied, smiled, spoke.
And so the world around me broke.
I touched its shards in passing glances,
As all the angels watched in fighting stances.
I played with death in all her styles
Beneath her sweet sadistic smiles.
Walk the streets whispered
The raging black will break the silence.
They play to the melody of raindrops
In broken dr3eams and silverscreams.
Concrete curtains close the sky
Of washed out neon. Perfect dancers
Run your eyes on impulse,
The night smiles on those who pass.
As all the angels return to grace,
Dawn whispers
Look back to black, and play your aces
The night is blessed in all her faces.
