Dancing
The music flows through me; like water through the sand.
The rhythm becomes my own; the beat one with the beat of my heart.
Secret instructions, like hieroglyphics on the walls of a vast pyramid.
Possessing a secret message that my body some how knows how to decode. And I move.
My feet have a mind of their own; as if disconnected from my brain.
Fast, Slow - it doesn't matter- the music plays, and I must dance.
To try to stop it would be of no use.
Once my ears hear that beat -my feet start tapping- my fingers start drumming- my head starts bobbing.
Next thing I know, the music has taken over. My body has been possessed.
It is like a magic spell, something I cannot fight.
The music plays. I must dance.
