I’ll cover my sadness
I’ll cover my sadness
With blankets of glee
And tuck it in my heart
And bury it deep in me
We’ll make shadows on my walls
And then we’ll count the sheep
And down, down in its hole
It’ll fall into its sleep
Then I can play pretend
And act so ordinary
But I can’t be myself no more
‘Cause my sadness is a part of me
My sadness will tuck me in my bed
And I’ll dream of my fantasy
Of running through a maze
And at the end I'll be happy
But in those little corners
In each sadness will hide
And I see the door of happiness
But I can never get inside
Sure, I can always run in my dreams
But I can never hide
'Cause I'll wake up and find sadness
Lying by my side
