Kiss the Sky Goodnight
We used to live and laugh and play
Leave play dough out to bake all day
Play pretend with Barbie Dolls
We'd kiss the sky goodnight
We'd spill chocolate on our clothes
And laugh if rain tickled our nose
Blow out all the dandelions
We'd kiss the sky goodnight
One new color each new day
Bouncing in the simple spray
Of fountains in the big back yard
We'd kiss the sky goodnight
But each new night brings it's own morn'
And we all found that we were torn
We needn't choose the mornings dawn
We'd kiss the sky goodnight
But soon we were to big for rain
We loved one color, which was plain
But knowing morning was to far
We'd kiss the sky goodnight
But now my friends, we all must know
No longer this sweet night may go
So one last time, to say goodbye
We'll kiss the sky goodnight
