A Free Man
The bright sun is high,
My ship is sailing low.
The salty air moves us along,
Just going with the flow.
My skin is bronzed and tan,
The wind blows back my hair.
I look out into the abyss,
With a contemplating stare.
The blue is all around me,
No other life in sight.
The sea is my true captain,
Controlled by all his might.
But this water is my friend.
He accepts man in every form,
But have respect and treat him well,
For his revenge is a storm.
I have sailed the seven seas,
I have been to the end of the earth.
This adventure lasts a lifetime,
There’s no price for experience’s worth.
My soul is finally happy,
My heart is truly free.
I call this ocean home,
There’s no place I’d rather be.
