There’s a sting in my lungs
There’s a sting in my lungs—
feels like I’ve been breathing in too much aerosol
I’ve been regaining my unconsciousness
and I see the poetic nature of real life,
thrown across the sidewalk of main street
My time spent in the last few hours to
find a new cure or remedy for all my
delusions—has gone to waste
And I’m still feeling the effects of a lack of sleep
I’ve been down, and I’ve been out
and if you promise to be my commercial break;
then I’ll be your halftime show
Just so you know, the last letter will say—
P.S. you make me smile
