Fish Bones Poem
A great set of jaws on the bottom of the sea
One pair among three
A sad symbol of the majesty that used to be
She didn’t like to be this way
She could still remember how she used to live
She remember hanging inside the ship
Stupid conversations enough to make her flip
Only a great storm could shake the fisherman’s grip
She didn’t like to be this way
She could still remember how she used to live
She remember the sharp pain of the harpoon
Her strength to fight giving out to soon
Reeled up to death by the light of the moon
She didn’t like to be this way
She could still remember how she used to live
She remember the epic fight
One between parents and child, a battle of might
Leaving her weak and alone on a deep dark night
She didn’t like to be this way
She could still remember how she used to live
She remembered the way they used to have fun
A majestic family acting as one
A beauty of unity by no other creature could have been won
And this was the way she liked to be
She wished to stay here, and remembered.
