“There is one thing, I have noticed,”
Said the eagle to the sky.
“No matter where I am going,
I must leave something behind.”
“There is one thing, I have noticed,”
Said the bat, way up high.
“There is always someone better
So I must ask, who am I?”
“There is one thing, I have noticed,”
Said the cricket to the fly.
“I will never be as good as you,
Nor you as good as I.”
“There is one thing, I have noticed,”
Said the child to the dog.
“It doesn’t matter where I’m going,
You will always tag along.”
The point is not to say that life is full of dreams,
But rather, life is a painting
That becomes as it’s perceived
And if you’re having trouble seeing Earth,
As it was meant to be,
Come take a walk with my dog
She will show you what it means.
