I breathe in earth
I breathe in earth
And let it spiral through
MY body
Dizzy from the overwhelming
Smell of laughter
The children
Play hopscotch
Across the street
I hop into the world of imagination
With them
But I trip, and fall into
Reality
Which suffocates me
My wings are clipped
Not strong enough to break
Chains of masters
Who teach me magic
I yearn to be my own teacher
Compose my own spell
Swimming through the streets
I think about the freedom
I will earn with age
With age, comes knowledge and
Responsibility
I exhale
