The Book and Me
Everyday I linger
Around your locker
Hoping that maybe
Just maybe,
You might need a book.
And just maybe
While your there
You might need me too.
I will try and look lonely and secluded.
Just like your book,
Crouching in the corner of your locker.
Desperately waiting for you to reach for me.
But you won’t.
You will look past us once again.
The book and me.
Leaving us to wither
And collect dust.
Again
