Love You
It rained the morn I met you
And it's been raining since
The Wind, in gusts it flew
I see it all and wince.
Your kiss is softer than before
It fades again, and yet
It's so much more than I can bear
You put me to the test.
We dance in puddles of the rain
The rippled streams softly crest
Your hair lays damp again
Hatred feels a lot like loneliness.
The birds fly across the square in droves
I can't tell if this is real
The rain is in your eyes, love,
Time just won't seem to heal.
