Plight of the Deeps
In the ocean there's a story,
In every sea urchin and every rock,
The land is strong but the life is not.
Oil spilling over the sea,
Animals are hurt by their home
The land holds treasures but can be a tomb.
In the world of darkness
A light can shine, a large fish from another time,
The poisons seep and commit a crime.
Coral is living in a struggling world,
The fissures aren't protecting as they should be,
And these creatures are unable to flee.
Narwhals in the arctic waters,
Are starving in an empty home,
Their food is dead in the land they roam.
It is time for something to be done,
While the humans frolic in the sun,
The oceans are becoming undone.
