Trepidation
Jack-in-the box jumps up to surprise
Easily scared, horror does rise
Sonorous groans make the trees shake
Silent once more the boots do shake
Insecurities set in as fear of the unknown
Can’t even breath, the petrified heart, a stone
Always in fear paranoia sets in
Lying in wait through the dark with a grin
Yelling and screaming the visage jumps out
Now I lie on the ground not able to shout
Now, the real meaning of horror has ne vexed,
Consumed by the fear of what happens next
