A day at the beach
A day at the beach seems nice and fun
With the hot sand, waves, and sun
When the day seems ever lasting
And the sun set is casting
I sit and soak up the rays
And smile and laugh at our silly ways
The sand feels good on my toes
And the warmth in my heart grows
The water is chilly
But we play all silly
And we splash
And we crash
Against the water after a cannon ball
And we run through the waves; big or small
But what we don’t realize is that our day on the beach
Could end with a screech
Because the nice water is dangerous
And our whims are frivolous
And in an attempt to have fun
We might have to run
From the unknown depths the await
Because the escape is a very low rate
So will you chance a date
Of fun and laughter
For a very unfortunate fate
Is it worth is to you?
To spend a minute or two
For a day at the beach
