Some people they sail the ocean blue
Some people they sail the ocean blue
Uncertain in knowing where they're off to
In and out with the tide
They sleep with the sound of crashing at their side
Smell of salt air a permanent presence
They wake with the sun shedding bright light
But yet the compass stays out of sight
Spinning, spinning through summer sweet
Hands on the helm, eyes on the horizon
Wind in the sail, deck at their feet
They let way lead on to way
Uncertain in knowing their future glowing
But yet they'd rather go uncertain
Letting fate rely on soft sea spray
