Listen to the Rain
It is 4am in the morning,
And all of the world is sleeping now,
And I slowly pick up the phone to,
Dial your number, I know it well,
So we can both listen to the rain.
And you ask if I can see the moon,
And I reply, "The clouds are in the way,"
Which makes you just laugh and softly sigh,
"Then why don't you just go move them?"
Your voice is a mystery to me,
All your answers make my head spin,
It is 4am, the world is sleeping,
But somehow I can't seem to sit still.
"There's something magical about the rain,"
You said, and I pensively agreed,
I glanced over at the picture frame,
Holding a soaking wet you and me,
But there was always warmth in our eyes.
It is 4am, the world is sleeping,
And I slowly pick up the phone to,
Call out your name again, so I,
So we, can both listen to the rain.
