In the rain I stand
In the rain I stand,
barring my feet in the now wet sand.
Listening not watching the waves crash,
with my eyes I feel a slash.
Across my heart I taste blood running through,
what had happened, I hadn’t a clue.
My life seems to be flashing before my eyes,
but its done before I stop my cries.
Which are all full of nothing but old sad lies.
Soon on top me are millions of flies.
I sit there now smelling what was going on,
now licking the wet sand from around the pond.
My soul has vanished, yes its really gone,
I wanted to still know what was going on.
