Summer
I remember once,
Playing on the shores of the beach.
Smothered in sunscreen, sand and sun.
Along the shore,
Seeking for shells,
Careful not to step on hidden jellyfish.
Breathing in the salty aroma,
That tickles with each breath.
Then came the infamous sandcastle building,
Complete with moats and towers.
And finished off with intricate shell decorations.
After the castle was attacked,
By an array of feet,
It was off to play in the waves.
Swimming in the salty water,
Trying to catch as many waves as possible.
But how long can memories last?
I glance and turn to the next page,
Of the album.
