Last Wednesday night
Last Wednesday night
I lay silent, in the dark
dreading tomorrow.
Nightmares haunted me
of the dentist yanking my teeth.
Blood and needles
were all I could think about.
On Thursday, I sobbed until I was
dragged out of my house.
When I arrived my heart beat faster
and I started sweating profusely.
Sitting and shaking was all I could do now
as she worked on breaking my tooth.
Crick Crick, CRACK
was all I heard.
The sticky sweat dripped down my body
as I hoped never to return to her again.
