In between
In the thickest shadows
Is where she’d always dwell
Denied her very admittance
To heaven and hell
Misty moors encircled her
As her essence began to fade
Her former self turned to dust
Decomposed and decayed
The moon lay hidden
Only stars in the infinite night
They no longer brilliant
Or points of reason and light
Tranquility never caressed her
Nor warmth from the sun
Vainly struggling to escape
In endless circles she would run
In the thickest shadows
Is where she’d forever dwell
Stuck – lost – eternally
Between heaven and hell
