In the Time I've Known You
In the time that I’ve known you, I have;
Changed how I look at you; you’re a different person than I thought I knew
I have lowered my expectations; my trust was only a fascination
Opened up or shut down completely; tell me, why am I so scared to just be me?
Felt crippling jealousy with the sound of your voice
Broken down and made a bad choice
Wished to turn back time, but I know that wont happen,
So, I think of all the time we’ve spent laughing
And I do nothing but think of how luck I am
To have so many people like you to call my friend
