Because She Plays My Favorite Song
When I take her out, it makes my day.
To be with her, only makes me smile.
And we have such feelings for each other.
Then very swiftly she pulls out her cell phone.
She answers by saying “yeah?”
All she could do at that point was cry.
She asked me if we can go. I said “why.”
She was too distraught to talk so I just
Go outside with her to my car.
We sit there talking for a while.
It’s silent for fifteen minutes.
She starts to talk and it all makes sense,
But All I can do is listen to her heart beat
Because it plays my favorite song.
