I Love You
When you write the words, I Love You
Don't put a period at the end
Because real love
Has no ending
The sentence never ends
It goes on forever
Into the enternity of the paper on which you wrote it
Embedded into the led of the pencil
The ink of the pen
And the fabric of the marker
When you say the words, "I Love You
Don't put quotation marks at the end
Because the words
Have no end
It goes on forever
Into the whispers of the world
Behind the corners
Into the ear of the pretty shy girl
Into the heart of the boy holding her hand
Skin speaking to the skin
It knows
That the three words,
Have no periods, no ifs, no buts,
No quotations
Just the simple fact that....
I Love You
