It is Now Dark
It is now dark, my child, and it is time for you to sleep.
so lie down in your bed and start counting those sheep.
For the stars and the beautiful moon have come out just for you.
And the clouds and trees have kindly shifted to keep from blocking your view.
And the dark may be dark, but everything will be alright.
Because the moon and the stars will serve as your night light.
And the toons of the crickets will graciously lead you to peace.
And the fullness of your dreams will help your happiness increase.
For morning will soon rise
with the hope of bright, sunny skies.
But for now, there is no sun, there is no light.
Just the sight of a lovely moon lit night.
