Common Courtesy is Quite Uncommon
Common Courtesy is Quite Uncommon
Unseen pressure lurks through these halls
Unseen tears dwell among the tall
Masks are worn and lines recited
People darken what should be lighted
Unseen scorn is hidden from the eye
Social prejudice is easy to find
Excluding and judging reside in this place
But no one could tell from that fake smile on your face
Why do we have to be the same?
Have we gone a little crazy, or truly insane?
I know that beneath all those layers of skin
A heart is present and beats within
God gave us passions and different desires
Gave us each a spark so together might be a fire
And who are we to tear down walls that we didn't build?
Who are we to dig more holes we could never fill?
So don't go off and seperate
The things that you didn't create
Common courtesy is quite uncommon
But let's try to pick up where we have fallen
