Broken Glass
I watched you go,
Out of my window.
Why'd you leave the way you did?
The stairs were just across the room...
Yeah, that's called irony,
And this is me laughing.
I've always heard
That having a broken heart
Was like walking on broken glass.
Luckily, today I wore my shoes.
Hey, that's called being clever,
And this is me laughing.
You wounded me,
But that's alright, I'll heal.
I just hope my scars
Will know the coming storms.
Something to remember you by.
Well that's called shaking it off,
And this is me laughing.
Oh my, it's called a sense of humor,
They're really not that hard to find.
Maybe you could buy or rent one,
But stop questioning me about mine.
That is funny.
And this is me laughing.
I may have lost my dignity,
I may have lost my pride,
The one thing you didn't take
You really could have used.
That's my sense of humor,
And this is me laughing.
