Darkness surrounding,
nowhere to go.
Confusion is pounding,
nothing to show.
For the Night is unending,
eternal like the stars.
Which are discreetly lending,
some light for the cars.
For the Night is relentless,
unyielding as a wall
of darkness made in excess,
holding off daybreak’s fall.
