My Star
My dreams were kept hidden away
In a place where there was so much pain
Away from the sunlight
Where they could not grow
Damaged and broken by those I know
Dirty and marred, there seemed no chance
To recover the dreams I saw at first
glance
Only to know that there was one person
To shine light on, the things that seemed worthless
You blew the dust from my long awaiting dreams
Knowing that they were all important to me
Now they are kept in a star
Intertwined with hope and your love by far
Shining brightly in the sky
Is a gentle reminder
That my love for you will never die.
