A Dream Deferred (In Texas)

What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it suffocate in the blazing heat?
Does it swim by the coast, only to drown?
Does it die just like the Alamo?
Or does it explode in the humidity?
Does it wilt like the texas bluebonnet?
Does it fall off a rollercoaster at Six Flags?
Does it get put on a shelf like a worn cowboy hat?
Or does it die like a pasture overgrazed by longhorns?
