They Come Alive
Creeping out of
The corners
As thin as
Wisps of smoke
With their invisible, darkened eyes
They peer towards me
Gaining on me
As the clock ticks
Appearing in the night
As my sight slipped away
Dreams not coming
With those –things- appearing instead
At night they enter
The eyes of the one
Who thinks in the late night
Thinking, thinking
When they enter
They want to leave
When they leave
They can reenter
