Last Thoughts of a Dying Man
I lay here on the cold pavement
Bleeding out
Never to see my family again
Never to speak again
Never to say I’m sorry
For the things I did
The lead burns in my gut
While no one helps me
Cars are rushing by
Not to give a care about the bleeding man
My hands have turned red
Warm with blood
Breathing is getting harder
While I watch my killer run away
I don’t know why he did it
Maybe just the thrill to kill
I’m getting very cold
Everything fading from my vision
I don’t hear anything
I don’t see anything
I am finally here
