Laying my head down
on my pillow
Sun comes up-across and over
the horizon and I already miss you
Light shines through,
down my window
And I know it's time to go
The clock ticks by too fast
for my eyes
But I stare and watch
as my life flashes
before my eyes
It's too late now
Too late to go back
So I leave
Never to come back
and let the day go by-
with me just along for the ride
