First Soul:

I was a simple soldier.
I left my family because the drums beat-
Calling out danger, to gather the fleat.
To save my country from war; and I was slain.
I gave my life for freedom - This I know:
For thise who made me fight told me so.

Second Soul:

I was a happy child.
I played my games in the summer heat-
Laughing in pleasue, till I ran into the street.
To save my ball from speeding drunks; and I was killed.
I gave my life for their emtpy drinks - This I know:
For the angel who met me at Heavens' gates told me so.

Third Soul:

I was a young mother.
I lived in a county of battle and hate-
Protecting my child, from a dangerous fate.
To save my baby from guns and tanks; and I was slain.
I gave my life for his future - This I know:
For the wind above my grave told me so.

Fourth Soul:

I was a mere teen.
I struggled through a life of tears and pain-
Holding the gun, I pulled the trigger in vain.
To save my heart from shattering once more; and I was killed.
I gave my life for rest - This I know:
For the bullet in my head told me so.

Fifth Soul:

I was an old one.
I walked through the years easily declared-
Peacefully, I layed down my head, completly prepared.
To save my body from tire; and I was slain.
I gave my life to Time - This I know:
For the pictures on my bedside told me so.
