Nostalgia
She fished in the dark,
Her umbrella a net.
She was only a shadow,
A dark silhouette.
The creatures skeptic,
Confused by her being,
But she knows why she is here-
Her passion fleeting.
In the night she went
To avoid being seen,
In hopes of remembering
What she once stripped clean.
So she grew older,
And ideas gone with youth,
Always trying to bring back
Her thoughts and the truth.
As a child she felt
What adults never could.
A mind young and brilliant
But it left her for good.
Imagination-
It goes, for forever sometimes.
If she’d get it back then she’d
Stop living a lie.
She knows who she is,
But like fish in the sea,
She’s constantly wandering
And she can’t catch thee.
