Migration
The trees stand frozen
Covered in snow
Flakes by the dozen
The wind screams and blows
A lost bird asks, “Hello?”
Concerned for its survival
Confused, it does not go
Sadly in denial
Uneasy and freezing
The bird finally flies away
The vicious wind teasing
Asking it to please stay
Flying from her home
She bids this town farewell
Ignoring the begging moan
Of what the wind wants to tell.
