Silly Little Puppet
At first it was nice, how you made me feel
I should have known that it was surreal
Whispering words so softly in my ear
Telling me everything I wanted to hear
With that longing gaze, you captured my soul
When you flashed that smile, I lost all control
You broke me down, you gained my trust
Now all my love has turned to dust
My heart turned to ashes, spread across the sea
Somehow you took a part of me
I long for your love, and still I crave you
I’m your silly little puppet, a naive fool
My legs are bound, no where to run
You pull the strings, you have your fun
My heart wrapped in chains, a haze in my head
My trust is broken, my hope is dead
As I sit helpless, my love now a curse
Emotions slowly dying, waiting for the hearse
For some reason I can’t escape your grasp
Trapped in a box you locked with your clasp
My limbs in shackles, a prisoner of love
Tortured by the deception that you’re made of
Your poisonous lies curdling through my veins
A dark cloud of denial driving me insane
I’m lured in, under your spell
Living and breathing, but going through hell
Please cut my strings, please set me free
Unlock my heart, give me back my key
Don’t play these games, please let me go
Close the curtain on this silly little puppet show...
