The Ocean

While I am out on the water, I find
There is not anything more beautiful
Than the great and majestic sea, outlined
By the light from the setting sun, full
Of natures astounding energy, light
And the amazing creatures of the sea
Silver fish leap and huge white gulls take flight
While water with its glistening beauty
Is the basis for all of ocean life
Near the shore people swim and are amused
In the open ocean there is no strife
Nothing can stifle these amazing views
And even though all this is true, I would
Rather be fishing with friends if I could
