Why Dad?
Do you hear the words I say
Will you give me the time of day
You walk on by living your life
Can you see mine’s full of strife
No, your to busy with your work
Why are you such a jerk
Can you see what I’m going through
Trying to find a way to get to you
I want to have my daddy home
Instead I’m sitting here alone
I want a relationship with my father
But you act as if I’m a bother
So I look for comfort in a boy
Who likes to use me for his toy
When you found out you where mad
Now you think that I turned “bad”
Then you see my boyfriend’s a skater
You tell me “we’ll talk about this later”
Oh now you act as if you care
And now all the sudden you are there
You missed half my life
You act as though you don’t have a wife
Well now are you happy dear old dad
Now that you made even mom sad
So this is where I shall end
I doubt our relationship can ever mend
