Poison Bottle
She stumbles down that twisted alleyway
A straight lane curved by the festivities
Of that one bottle of poison,
An inhale of that line of white powder.
She hears a crackle of leaves.
An exhale of breath as she runs
Trying to get to the light
As the man of the darkness
Chases her down.
Fear
Rushes over her body
A glimpse of a silver blade
Flashes.
She is down and cries for help.
Tears are shed and no one can hear her.
A sparkle out of the corner of her eye.
The poison bottle that lead her here
Was her only way to get out.
Crash!
Over his head as she darts out the path.
She falls to her knees under a street light,
Heaven is shining down and she is safe.
