Ferris Wheel
Life is just a carnival, today a Ferris wheel
Lows too high and highs too low
but, being stuck at the top, proves nothing is real.
Spinning in circles, eyes closed, you can feel
the sun the wind the rain the clouds. And know
life is just a carnival, today a Ferris wheel.
When something goes wrong, the world shakes with fear.
Sensing the change, and spinning too slow
but being stuck at the top proves nothing is real.
Looking back to see, it never was real.
A poison of a slithering snake. Today truth will show
that life is just a carnival. Today a Ferris wheel
went off track. The freaks crawled out to steal
our ‘normal’ skin. And all they found were masks of gold,
but being stuck at the top, proves nothing is real.
Does anything matter? Falling down to kneel
before the lights of insanity, begging to go,
because life is just a carnival. Today is a Ferris wheel
and being stuck at the top proves nothing is real.
