When Death Knocks
When Death knocks upon the door, I shiver
I shiver because I know Death is a taker, not a giver
Death took my mom, and took my gram
Death takes who you are, who I am
And yet when Death knocks on my door
I’ll have to answer and let Death in
I’ll have to let Death win
I will fall, dead, to the floor
And, I too, will be no more
