Said Teacher, Said Student
“Time to write a poem!
The teacher said
The students groaned
“I’d rather be dead,” One said

“But writing is fun,”
The teacher cried
“When the moon is the sun”
“You don’t have to lie!”
The students said

This counts as a test
So you better listen
You better not protest
Or “A’s” you’ll be missin’

Ha-ha, the student said
We can do whatever
You can’t control us
No matter the weather

But hear, hear
Said the teacher
Report cards are near
So come on,
Work on the poems
And let out a cheer

“No!” They yelled
“Okay you will get detention”
That’s when the students started to pay attention

My mother substitute teaches, and always comes home telling stories about her day. I decided to write a story about how some students treat their teachers, and how teachers and students opinions on certain things are different.

Reading is the thing we do to remind us of how much we'll never know.

The rhymes in this one are rather stretched, I think.
